Republican Vice President rumors swirl.

While it’s been pretty much accepted that John McCain will not announce his choice for Vice President until later this summer, there are a few hints that the announcement may be sooner.
Strategically, it makes sense that McCain would defer until after the Democratic Convention (August 25 - 28) - the fact that the Republican convention is being held second, gives the GOP nominee the luxury of waiting until Barack Obama makes his choice for Vice President official. Generally, candidates receive a “bump” in ratings after their respective conventions and “big” announcements. Also, by waiting, John McCain could, possibly, counterbalance whomever Obama picks as a running mate.
However, some “sources” and political pundits are suggesting that an announcement - or “leak” - this week could reclaim some of the media “spotlight” that Barack Obama has been dominating during his trip abroad (to Asia, the Middle East and Europe).
Much speculation has been made about who McCain should/could name as his No. 2. And the Senator will, reportedly, be meeting with Louisiana Governor, Bobby Jindal, tomorrow.

Jindal is young - like swaddling clothes young. At just 37 years old, Jindal would certainly add “youth” to the GOP ticket.
Of course, Senator McCain did go to a Yankees game with Rudy Giuliani Sunday night…

Nobody from Lousyiana will ever be selected for such a high office. The spirit of Huey Long and Lousyiana corrupt politics still runs amok.
