Stephanie Tubbs Jones (1949-2008)
Sadly, we can confirm today that Ohio Representative, Stephanie Tubbs Jones, passed away yesterday, a little after 6pm (EST); Representative Tubbs Jones had suffered a brain aneurysm Tuesday.
She was serving her 5th term in Congress as the Representative from Ohio’s 11th Congressional District (in the Cleveland area). She had served as the Chair of the House Ethics Committee, and was a very vocal member of the House Ways and Means Committee.
The Congresswoman was a staunch supporter of Hillary Clinton’s Presidential campaign, but she publicly endorsed Senator Barack Obama following the spring primaries.
